• My position: The city is not a separate entity from the citizens; it is its citizens. The city exists only to provide increased quality of life for its citizens.
• The city should operate in a manner that is transparent to its citizens. In a question of whether certain information should be released, the city should err on the side of openness.
  ACTION: I created the Talking Kelso blog that helps keep citizens up to date with decisions made by the council, and why they were made.
